The official residence of the Wadiyar dynasty the Mysore palace also goes by the name Amba Vilas. This three storied structure in the Indo-Saracenic style was built between 1897-1912. Ornate ceilings, sculpted pillars, painted walls, intricately carved or ivory inlaid doors, glazed tiled flooring, stained glass, murals and paintings make this palace a spectacular visual treat.
